As a supporter of the Second Amendment, as I believe it was intended, I would like to see the National Rifle Association given a chance to hold tactical workshops with their supporters in Congress, to demonstrate the validity of their reasoning. Each participant would be issued a semi-automatic weapon (I'm OK with paintball), and have "SURPRISE!" pop-ups (evildoers, donkeys, whatever) appear around and among them. This should be live-streamed, so that nonsupporters, as well as the choir, could be witness to the advantages of arming people whose job has nothing to do with weaponry.
