FRIDAY, FEB. 2

WARRANT: Philomath Police arrested Ryan Shelton, 25, of Brownsville, based on a warrant for his arrest when a vehicle he owns was stopped for a traffic violation at 11:17 p.m. in the 700 block of Main Street. Shelton was cited and released with a new court date.

SATURDAY, FEB. 3

ASSAULT: Philomath Police responded at 9:52 p.m. to the 100 block of North 14th Street for a report of an unknown disturbance. An investigation led to the arrest of Timothy J. Hollingsworth, 50, of Philomath, on a charge of fourth-degree domestic assault. He was transported to Benton County Jail.

INVESTIGATION: Benton County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of possible vandalism to radio towers at the top of Marys Peak. Deputies traversed 1-1/2 miles uphill in challenging conditions to find the radio towers appeared to not be damaged.

SUNDAY, FEB. 4

DUII: Philomath Police arrested Victoria Nielsen, 37, of Monmouth, on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants following a traffic stop at 2:03 a.m. in the 2600 block of Main Street. Nielsen's blood alcohol content reportedly measured at 14 percent. She was processed at the local station before given a courtesy ride to her residence.

MONDAY, FEB. 5

DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED: Benton County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Benjamin I. Kawamura, 21, of Albany, on a charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended following a traffic stop on Marys Peak Road. Kawamura was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody.

TUESDAY, FEB. 6

ASSISTANCE: Philomath Police came upon a vehicle crash at 1:01 a.m. in the 5700 block of Reservoir Road. Benton County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene. Following an investigation by deputies, Tracey Lanphear, 31, city of residence not reported, was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

DOG BITE: Philomath Police took a report at 3:30 p.m. in the 200 block of North 13th Street of an 11-year-old child bitten by a dog Feb. 1.

WARRANTS: Philomath Police responded to a disturbance at 3:52 p.m. in the 100 block of North Seventh Street and arrested Cecilia A. Granillo, 57, of Philomath, and David Vargas, 21, of Philomath, on active warrants.

DOG AT LARGE: Philomath Police responded at 7:07 p.m. to the 600 block of North 12th Street for a report of a dangerous dog at large. Police impounded and transported the dog to Heartland Humane Society pending further legal action.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 7

WARRANT: Philomath Police arrested Blossem Burciaga, 45, of Philomath, at 10:11 p.m. in the 100 block of North 14th Street on an active warrant through Philomath Municipal Court for failure to comply on an original misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended.
