Information comes from the Philomath Police Department and the Benton County Sheriff’s Office. It does not include all calls for service. The status of incidents might change after further investigation. Locations are approximate. People arrested or suspected of crimes are considered innocent until proven otherwise.

SUNDAY, JUNE 3

DISTURBANCE: Philomath Police responded at 1:29 a.m. to a disturbance at the Meet’n Place Tavern. A man was trying to start fights with people and was told to leave. Police determined that no crimes had been committed.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Members of the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, Philomath Police Department and Philomath Fire & Rescue responded at 2:46 p.m. to a traffic crash at Bellfountain Road and Chapel Drive. No further information was provided.

MONDAY, JUNE 4

CRASH INVESTIGATION: Philomath Police contacted a Philomath resident as part of a crash investigation led by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office. The resident determined that his vehicle had been stolen before it was found in Linn County. It was towed to his place of employment.

TUESDAY, JUNE 5

ASSAULT: Philomath Police aided the Benton County Sheriff’s Office at 6:40 a.m. in searching the area of the 24500 block of Highway 34 for an assault suspect. The suspect was not located.

LOUD MUSIC: Philomath Police responded at 9:53 p.m. to “numerous” noise complaints concerning people playing loud music in the Philomath High School parking lot. Police contacted the individuals, who were polite and agreed to turn off the music.

DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: While a Philomath police officer was performing a traffic stop at 11:18 p.m. near 13th Street and College Street, he determined that a domestic disturbance was occurring on the 200 block of North 13th Street. He spoke to the parties involved and they separated for the evening.

THURSDAY, JUNE 7

WARRANT ARREST: Philomath Police arrested 21-year-old Donovan Michael Stewart, of Estacada, following a traffic stop at 12:45 a.m. on the 1800 block of Main Street. Stewart had a Tillamook Circuit Court warrant for violating the terms of his release. Police also cited him for failing to carry and present a driver’s license, providing false information to a police officer, and for traffic violations.

INJURED BIRD: A Philomath police officer spotted an injured crow on the 2500 block of Main Street. He captured the bird and transported it to Chintimini Wildlife Refuge.

MEDICAL: 12:37 p.m., 500 block of South 15th Street.

WILDLAND FIRE: 1:51 p.m., out-of-control burn pile that grew to about 1 acre in size, Old River Road and Schultz Road, Monroe.

WILDLAND FIRE: 2:39 p.m., out-of-control burn pile that grew to about 1 acre in size, 24800 block of Larson Road, Monroe.

MEDICAL: 10:59 p.m., 1000 block of Main Street.

SUNDAY, JUNE 3

FIRE: 1:29 a.m., Marys Peak Road.

MEDICAL: 1:27 p.m., 500 block of South 19th Street.

TRAFFIC CRASH: 2:48 p.m., Bellfountain Road and Chapel Drive.

MONDAY, JUNE 4

MEDICAL: 9:36 a.m., 24500 block of Ervin Road.

MEDICAL: 4:50 p.m., 300 block of Topaz Street.

TUESDAY, JUNE 5

MEDICAL: 6:44 a.m., 24500 block of Highway 34.

MEDICAL: 11:44 a.m., 100 block of North Eighth Street.
