The No. 11 Oregon State gymnastics team followed up the season-best performance against UCLA with a solid 196.350-195.475 win at No. 25 Arizona.
OSU had four gymnasts with 9.900 scores in the meet. Sabrina Gill on bars, Madi Dagen on beam and Isis Lowery and Kaitlyn Yanish on floor.
“We came in here wanting to keep the momentum going from last weekend and I’m happy to have gotten the win,” OSU coach Tanya Chaplin said. “We were far from perfect tonight but we also know that we’re much better than we showed. There were plenty of highlights today too. It was great to have McKenna (Singley) back to her three events and to have Sabrina (Gill) back on the bars and beam.”
Gill’s score salvaged a rough outing on the event. Mariana Colussi-Pelaez scored a 9.800 and Mary Jacobsen a 9.775.
The Beavers had solid scores on beam but had to count a 9.625 because of a fall. Gill and Lacy Dagen both scored 9.850 to go with Madi Dagen’s 9.900.
McKenna Singley, Madi Dagen and Yanish tied for first on vault with 9.875s and Mary Jacobsen added a 9.850. The Beavers finished the event with a 49.175.
OSU put together another good effort on floor, with a 49.275. In addition to the two 9.900s, Savanna Force finished with 9.850 and Madi Dagen added a 9.825.
The Beavers will take on California at Gill Coliseum on Feb. 17.
