FRESNO, Calif. — The Oregon State softball team gave up three runs in the sixth inning and dropped a 4-1 decision to Fresno State on Friday at the Fresno State Classic.

The Bulldogs scored a run in the first before the Beavers got even in the fourth. Natalie Hampton opened with a single and pinch-runner Riley Gregoire scored on a single by Kayleen Shafer.

But the Bulldogs scored three times in the sixth to pick up the win.

Jessica Garcia had two of Oregon State’s seven hits.

The Beavers (13-6) will play Sacramento State at 12:30 p.m. Saturday before taking on Fresno State again at 6 p.m.

Oregon State closes the tournament with a 9 a.m. game against Sacramento State.
