SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — The Oregon State track and field team competed at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival and the Stanford Invitational on Friday.
At Stanford, Morgan Anderson placed fourth in her 1500-meters section in four minutes, 28.50 seconds in her first race at that distance this spring. Kristiane Width (4:31.27) and Juliana Mount (4:31.79) went 4-5 in their section and each improved her season-best time by more than five seconds.
Helen Ann Haun cleared 12-5.50 and tied for third in the pole vault.
Lexi Reed led three Beavers in the 1500 at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival by placing 29th in 4:38.21 in her first race at that distance this season.
The Beavers return to action next weekend at a variety of meets. Some will compete at the John Knight Twilight Meet at Western Oregon on April 7; others will go to the Sun Angel Classic at Arizona State or the Jim Click heptathlon at Arizona.
OSU’s lone home appearance of the year is the April 28-29 OSU High Performance Meet, at the Whyte Track and Field Center.
