WENATCHEE, Wash. — Cooper Getsfrid had 25 points on 11-for-16 shooting and the Linn-Benton Community College men’s basketball team rallied for a 98-93 win over Wenatchee Valley in overtime in the title game of the Wenatchee Valley Tournament on Sunday.

The Roadrunners trailed 45-38 at the half and tied the game with a 40-33 edge in the second half.

Taylor Jensen, who was the tournament MVP, added 22 points and eight rebounds while Christopher Morsa had 11 points and five assists and Jake Sundquist 10 points in the win. Getsfrid was an all-tournament pick.

The Roadrunners (8-2) are idle until opening the Clackamas tournament on Dec. 28.


ABERDEEN, Wash. — Linn-Benton jumped out to a 25-6 lead after the first quarter and cruised to a 73-49 win over Olympic to salvage the final game of the Grays Harbor Crossover on Sunday.

Breanna Bronson had 18 points to lead four players in double figures. Courtney Landis added 15 points, six rebounds and five assists, Kelsey Wells chipped in 13 points and Kelsie Henry 11 for the Roadrunners.

LB, which led 42-16 at the half, shot 50.9 percent from the field and 77.8 percent from the 3-point line.

The Roadrunners (5-6) are idle until Jan. 3 when they open conference play against Clark.
