Katie Mayhue (South Albany) had 10 points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals Saturday in Montana’s 78-60 loss at Portland State.
She had 17 points, one rebound and one assist Jan. 3 in an 88-86 double-overtime win at Sacramento State. Mayhue had five 3-pointers, with three coming in the second quarter.
"Katie hit some big threes, and you have to have people who are confident to take those," Grizzlies coach Shannon Schweyen said. "When you get in a tight game like that, sometimes people are nervous to take those. I was really proud of her."
Ali Nelke (West Albany) had eight points, five rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal Saturday in Western Oregon’s 90-70 home loss to Northwest Nazarene in Monmouth.

Adrian Lyons-Lopez (South Albany) won three matches as University of Providence went 2-1 at the NAIA Multi-Divisional National Duals in Louisville, Kentucky.
Lyons-Lopez, competing at 174 pounds, won by major decision, technical fall and decision.
The Argonauts defeated Marian 20-16, lost 25-16 to Life and defeated Lindsey Wilson 28-14.
Cal Poly’s Ty Schilling (Sweet Home) took fourth at 141 pounds in Saturday’s Menlo Invitational in Menlo Park Invitational.
Schilling won five straight consolation matches. Cal Poly took ninth.
