EUGENE — The Corvallis High girls basketball team kept its season alive with a 59-52 road win over Churchill on Tuesday night in a 5A play-in game.

Corvallis (11-14) finished fifth in the Mid-Willamette Conference but got the better of the Lancers, who were fourth in the Midwestern League and finish the season 10-14.

The Spartans will now play Friday night at No. 2 seed La Salle Prep, the defending champion, for a chance to play in the 5A state tournament next week at Oregon State’s Gill Coliseum.

La Salle Prep won the Northwest Oregon Conference with a 14-0 record and the Falcons are 20-4 overall.
