The Corvallis High boys tennis team opened the season by defeating Crescent Valley 5-3 at CV on Tuesday.

Singles winners for the Spartans were Julian Katz (2) and Chad Romrell. Doubles winners were Max Johnson/Eddie Hu (1), Ian Cann/Karl Mellinger  (3) and Bence Liazkai/Mateo Muro-Dougherty (4).

Singles winners for the Raiders were Bojan Soskic (1) and Max Patel (4). Evan Kooyman/Ronny Junkins won the No. 2 doubles match.

Softball

LEBANON — The Warriors rolled to an 11-1 nonconference win against Crook County. The game was called in the fifth due to the 10-run rule.

Rylie Milligan had a home run, double and four RBIs in the win.

Laurel McGuigan, Hailey Johnson, Trinity Holden and McKenzie Crenshaw all doubled for Lebanon.

Hailey Johnson had five strike outs and took the win for the Warriors (1-0).

Lebanon plays at Westview on Wednesday.

Central Linn 15, Sisters 2

HALSEY — The Central Linn Cobras stepped up a classification and topped 4A Sisters in their season-opener.

The game was stopped after five innings by the mercy rule. Central Linn (1-0) is now idle until a March 22 game at Toledo.

Raiders postponed

The Willamette at Crescent Valley game was postponed. It has been rescheduled for 5 p.m. Thursday at CV.

Bulldogs, La Salle rescheduled

Tuesday's La Salle Prep-West Albany game was rescheduled to 4:15 p.m. Wednesday at West Albany.

Baseball

RedHawks postponed

Tuesday's scheduled game between South Albany and host Scappoose was postponed. It has been rescheduled for 4:15 p.m. Friday, at Scappoose.

Bulldogs, La Salle rescheduled

Tuesday's La Salle Prep-West Albany game was rescheduled to 4:15 p.m. Wednesday at West Albany.
