It was an emotional senior night for the Corvallis High girls soccer team, which had to overcome an early deficit to pick up a 5-2 Mid-Willamette Conference win over Dallas on Thursday night.

After falling behind 1-0 in the sixth minute, Corvallis’ Mylene Gorzynski scored twice in the next eight minutes to help the Spartans gain momentum.

Sabrina Simpson, Aja Bumpus and Holly Bartholomew also scored for the Spartans (4-0-1 MWC). CHS plays at Central on Monday and then at first-place Silverton on Tuesday.
