Marissa Reed won the triple jump to lead the Alsea High girls to fifth place in the eight-team Crow Cinder Classic on Wednesday.

Reed was also second in the discus, fourth in the shot put and helped the Wolverines take fourth in the 4x100-meter relay.

Teammate Alexys Vaughn was second in the triple jump, third in the long jump and also ran a leg on the relay.

Micah DeWolfe was fourth in the boys javelin and long jump and helped the Wolverines to third in the 4x100 relay. Alsea was also fifth in the boys standings.

Thursday, Reed won the shot put, discus and triple jump as the Alsea girls were third of four teams at a meet in Toledo. Vaughn won the javelin was was second in the triple jump.

DeWolfe won the boys javelin, was third in the shot put and ran a leg on the second-place 4x100 relay for Alsea, which was fourth overall. Dvorak won the discus was was also on the relay.
