OREGON CITY — The Corvallis High girls finished 10th at the Willamette Falls Invitational track and field meet Saturday.

The CHS boys were 24th and Monroe finished 17th in the boys competition and 21st in the girls.

Corvallis' Madeline Nason won the girls 1,500 meters in 4 minutes, 52.99 seconds.

Wendy Hare of CHS was fourth in the 100 hurdles (16.82) and fifth in the 300 hurdles (50.18). She was also sixth in the triple jump.

Monroe's Laura Young was second in the shot put with a toss of 37-7½.

For the boys, Monroe's Cristian Garcia was second in the shot with a throw of 50-10 and was fifth in the discus (130-5).

Sebbie Law of CHS was fourth in the 400 in 50.38.
